Job Scope

We are looking for a proactive and fast-learning Data Engineering Intern to join our Regional Data & Analytics team, supporting Vietnam, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Myanmar markets.

This is a great opportunity for students or fresh graduates who want hands-on experience with modern data engineering tools, cloud platforms, and real-world F&B/retail data pipelines. You will work directly with senior data engineers, data analysts, and ML engineers to help build reliable, scalable data systems.

What You Will Do

• Support the development and maintenance of ETL/ELT pipelines (batch & streaming).
• Assist in building and monitoring workflows using Apache Airflow, Spark, and dbt.
• Work with Google Cloud Platform (GCS, BigQuery, Dataflow, GKE) to manage and process regional datasets.
• Help implement data validation, data modeling, and basic QA checks for BI and ML use cases.
• Collaborate with the analytics and ML teams to prepare clean, business-ready datasets.
• Support containerized deployments using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Participate in code reviews, documentation, and Agile/Scrum activities.
• Help maintain data governance practices, including IAM permissions and data catalog documentation.
  

What We‘re Looking For

• Final-year student or recent graduate in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or related field.
• Good SQL skills and knowledge of at least one programming language (Python preferred).
• Basic understanding of ETL/ELT concepts, data modeling, and cloud fundamentals.
• Familiarity with at least one of the following (school projects are acceptable):

Airflow, dbt, or another orchestration tool

Spark or similar distributed data processing tools

Any cloud platform (GCP, AWS, or Azure)

Docker or basic container concepts

• Good communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, regional Agile team.
• Eagerness to learn and the ability to absorb technical concepts quickly

Nice to Have

• Exposure to machine learning workflows or tools like MLflow, DVC, or Great Expectations.
  
• Experience with BI tools (Power BI, Looker, Data Studio).
  
• Basic Git knowledge and interest in CI/CD or Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
