Job Description
About the Role
Pizza Hut Vietnam is scaling its Owned Channel — App and Website — as a core growth engine alongside food-aggregator partners like GrabFood, ShopeeFood, GreenSM, and BeFood. The UX/UI Designer — Digital Product designs these experiences end to end and turns every one of them into a requirement the Data & Technology (DTS) team can build without guesswork.
This is not a pure visual design role. You sit between Marketing and DTS: you understand how the App, Website, CMS, POS, CRM system connect, you write the functional brief, you design the screens, you test the release, and you measure whether it actually improved the customer experience.
What You'll Own
- App/Web UX/UI design and the Pizza Hut digital design system
- Functional requirement briefs for every digital request to DTS
- Digital request backlog — prioritisation, timline and delivery tracking with DTS
- Cross-system logic across Web/App, POS, CMS, Braze, AppsFlyer and GA4/Firebase
- UAT, release quality and post-launch UX performance
Key Responsibilities
- UX/UI Design: Design end-to-end customer journeys and UI for App (iOS/Android) and Website/Mobile-site in Figma — menu listing, product detail and customisation, cart, checkout, promotion and voucher flows, member and loyalty pages — following the Pizza Hut Brand Guideline and extending the existing design system with reusable components.
- Digital Product Requirements: Write a Functional Requirement Brief for every digital request in the PHVN standard format: background and current issue, required outcome, current vs expected behaviour, functional requirements with priority, proposed system logic, and the points DTS must confirm — so DTS can estimate and build without back-and-forth.
- Backlog Management: Own the Digital Request backlog on Notion with the Digital Manager — keep status, priority, expected vs DTS-confirmed live dates up to date, break large initiatives into releasable phases (e.g. Happy Hour Phase 1–4), and chase dependencies and blockers until go-live.
- Systems logic: Map how each feature flows across systems before development starts — Web/App front end; menu and product master data and POS (SKU/FCode, variants, store-level availability, order-value limits for DI/DE/TA); promotion engine and voucher validation.
- Stakeholder translation: Translate needs from Marketing, CRM, Commercial and Operations into feasible UX and system logic to DTS, and push back with alternatives when a request would break usability, pricing consistency or system rules.
- UAT & release: Plan and run UAT on staging for every release across iOS, Android and Web; log defects with severity, steps and evidence; sign off go-live with DTS; and verify the live experience in the first 48 hours after release.
- Measure & iterate: Measure UX performance after launch — step conversion, add-to-cart, promo-code success and error rate, drop-off by segment — using GA4, Firebase and session replay (e.g. Fullstory), and run A/B tests together with the Senior Ecommerce & Digital Media Executive.
- Research & benchmark: Run usability tests with real customers and continuously benchmark App/Web UX against GrabFood, ShopeeFood, Domino's and The Pizza Company.
What You'll Bring
- 4+ years in UX/UI or product design for consumer mobile apps and websites, including at least 2 years on ecommerce, food delivery, F&B or retail ordering flows (menu, cart, checkout, vouchers)
- Advanced Figma: components, auto-layout, variants, interactive prototypes, design-system maintenance and developer hand-off
- Proven experience writing functional requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria, and working day to day with developers in an Agile team (Jira, Notion or similar)
- Understanding of how front end connects to back-end systems — APIs, product/menu master data, POS and order status — enough to spot logic gaps before development starts
- Working knowledge of a CRM/engagement platform (Braze, CleverTap, MoEngage or similar) and of AppsFlyer or equivalent (deep links, OneLink, attribution)
- Ability to read GA4/Firebase funnel data and session replays (Fullstory, Hotjar) to find and prioritise UX problems
- Strong QA mindset: detail-oriented, structured UAT and defect reporting
- Fluent Vietnamese; good written English for requirement documents and regional alignment
Nice to Have
- Experience in a multi-store F&B/QSR or retail business where store availability, delivery zones and POS menus drive what the customer sees
- Experience designing loyalty, wallet, voucher or membership experiences
- Hands-on usability testing and customer research
- Basic HTML/CSS knowledge
